I start my journey to a healthier happier me tomorrow!! I'm gonna think of it as a quest just cause i wanna :p my plan for tomorrow is to wake up about an hour earlier go for a run/jog/walk for about 30 min just so i can see where i'm at on the fitness scale. I dont usually drink a lot of water but tomorrow i'll try to get the eight glasses, soooo i plan on taking a lot of bathroom breaks :) i've been looking at different excercises that target different body areas, i have a 12 lb dumbell from one of my impulse buys and nothing else so im looking at things that dont require a lot of equipment, as a broke college student i dont really have too much extra $$ to put down...maybe down the line. (if you know any good exercises HELP!! thnx) hopefully i'll be able to pick a couple that i like and then i'll alternate between running some mornings and lifting the others. since i plan on waking up early tomorrow i have to turn in earlier and so ends my 1st entry *wish me luck*

day 1

So today was my first day working out in about 6 months. getting up at 6 am was my first really big challenge. i have 3 alarms set up on my phone bc they make me feel like i get extra sleep. :blush5: so in order to make sure i got up, i asked the bf to call me at 6 when he gets up for work. I almost didnt get up but then i remembered that i needed to write and i ended up getting up. i ran around my neighborhood which was about .7 miles, i did walk for a lil bit but hopefully i can do better nxt time.

im going to go out this weekend and buy a scale, and measuring tape so that i can figure out my measurements, i also think im gonna take some pics and put them up. hopefully they can keep me motivated. im also going to try and keep track of my food intake, the whole water thing didnt work out today so ill try tomorrow.

if im going to really do this i need to make a complete change to my lifestyle, starting with new food. since i live at home for the nxt 3 weeks i cant really take away all the unhealthy temptation i dont think i did too badly today, i was kinda rushing out of the house to work and grabbed a glazed doughnut and coffee. im going to get some bagels to substitute for the doughnut and maybe tea would be better than coffee? idk we'll see....for lunch i had about 1/2 a cup of white(the bad) rice, and 1 cup of cooked veggies(the good) and for dessert 3 slices of sliced pineapple (in the juice not the syrup) and a cup of koolaid(the red one :p). i just got home and had a couple more slices of pineapple which is a lot better than what i would usually have. i usually have a really late dinner(9:30 or later) and im going to try and bring that up earlier so i dont eat to soon to bed. idk wat i'll have for dinner so i'll think about that for now.

anyways its too gorgeous outside to stay at the computer so im gonna head out, i'll try and get on later tho

Hey Cece,

Kudos to you for waking up early and getting that exercise in! It's not easy but you did it! Don't worry too much about the miles, it gets easier and you can run longer distances once you become consistent!

Well done yu - 6am is not an easy time to get up and exercise!! It looks like you are off to a great start and it is def a good idea to weigh yourself and measure regularly. It is always sooooo satisfying to see the numbers go down!
