Well this is day one of my diet, well let me rephrase that it is day one of my new diet. Yes that is right I confess I am a yo-yo dieter guilty as charged! However this time I am determined.

I have had my 'fat photos' taken and they are not a pretty sight, seeing those on the computer suddenly hit home that not only do I want to lose weight but infact I NEED to lose weight.

I have begun the day in good spirits and I am determined to take small steps at a time. I am not going to set myself unrealistic targets because I will only get disappointed when I fail to meet them. Therefore my first target will not be to lose weight it will be to stick to my diet, hopefully I will lose weight but that will be a bonus.

When I last dieted I found that after I had been on a diet for 2 weeks I was into a routine and it became easier to follow and less of a chore.

My First Target is therefore to stick to my diet until the 7th September which is my first weigh in day.
