Care to help a chubby teen? :(

Hi guys, im new here. :D

How y'all doing? I hope you could help me with my problem:

7 years ago, my friends never teased me "tubby" nor did they call me "booty man". I know that it's a bit funny how they call me that (but it's only for fun trust me), I wanna lose weight before I enter college this summer. (I just graduated)

My goal for this summer is to lose...
1.) Belly fat
2.) Thigh fat
3.) Leg fat
4.) Booty fat

I don't care how long it would take for me to notice the changes in my figure. I just wanna get a normal body like everybody elses. It's funny how I have a beer belly at the age of 17. Can you please give me some things to do to achieve this? A programme for instance? Thanks.
 
Hi, I'm new too! I like your screen name, it reminds me of a Phineas and Ferb episode. The first questions that seem to be asked with posts like yours are:

how much do you weigh now?

how much do you want to lose?

what's your plan so far?

Also you apparently can't spot reduce, you have to kind of take your losses as they come. Like in my case, I'm in three of my friends' phones as "much ass" and really wish that could end, but it won't simply because even if I get down to 130 pounds my butt will still be proportionally larger than the rest of me. But if I make it nice and toned, it'll be a plus.

I'm still learning here, but there are a few others who will hopefully chime in and give some actual advice. All I'm doing is repeating what I've seen in other threads, :)

Thanks. Nice to meet you. :) Sadly, I don't watch too many cartoons. Im an anime boy. Haha!

Currently I weigh around 152 lbs. I plan to lose 20 pounds (or less if it isn't attainable by the end of summer)
Recently, I've been jogging around a University oval (roughly 2km circumference) and have been increasing my laps every other day.
I don't lift weights and my mom wouldn't allow me to gym til I hit 18. To maximize growth spurts.

And yes I really want a toned butt.
 
You're goal seems totally doable by the end of summer!

And you don't have to join a gym to add weight to your routine. There are a thousand things around your house that have weight that you can use. For example, my son has been using a gallon of water for his workout. But I do recommend doing some research before starting so that you don't hurt yourself.

And I used to be into anime, (how long ago? well back then Ninja Scroll was new on VHS and everyone owned a copy of Akira) but don't have the opportunity much these days.
 
Ninja Scroll's really old and it's awesome that you own a vhs of it. Haha!

I just hope that I notice changes in my appearance. I've been doing the same thing everyday, the lunges and all that. My weights are those you could only lift with hardly any effort. They say weight training boosts metabolism. Haha

Is jogging more than 45 mins enough for a routine every other day?
 
As far as a weight loss (diet) program is concerned you could just do an internet search and look for something like 1800 calorie diet and you will find a few meal plans. If they don't result in enough weight loss, cut back on the calories a little more. You will eventually want to learn a bit about nutrition and make your own meal plans, but that will get you started. For counting calories, I like or .
The diet will be your main strategy for weight loss. You should also do exercise, which will help burn some calories, and keep you from losing too much muscle as you lose the fat. I recommend just doing whatever kind of exercise you like, some cardio and some weights. As suggested, you can use whatever weights are handy and also do body weight exercises, like push-ups, pull-ups, squats, lunges, step-ups, crunches and so forth.

Just an FYI, you can't "spot reduce", in other words...you can't choose where to lose weight because as your Body Fat % decreases, as will fat in all areas of your body.

Oh definitely, it's more than enough. Just keep in mind weight loss has a lot more to do with what's going into your body rather than what your body is doing, so make sure you don't overeat (or undereat!!!)
 
Awesome guys. Hopefully, my being a Filipino would not tempt me to eat too much rice. Haha

Ill try going on a 1800 calorie diet and jog every other day for 2 and a half laps, going to and fro there by foot. :D
 
45 mins of jogging is way more than you should do. Focus on sprinting, where you run really fast from one spot to another, then relax by walking, then repeat. This will stimulate your aerobic and anaerobic system and make you burn fat very very fast. Its all about intensity, its all about getting your body out of your comfort zone.

I have been eating healthily for nearly a month, and have lost about 2kg already. It just make sense if u eat healthily, ur body will not be obesed. If you interested to know more, just contact me at zequilibrium@hotmail.sg :) all the best!

This is so true, it took me so long to figure this out. I think sometimes people just assume that longer = better when it's really the intensity that determines the outcome
