cardio?

ok here's my problem. i have alomost no endurence and i can't stay on a treadmill for long or any other cardio mechine's at the gym i just get tired and get off and i can't breath so is hitting a punching bag as good or should i keep trying to run. my goal right now is to lose about 5 pounds cause we might go to florida to see some old friends and i one of my ex girl friends i wanna make her cry when she see's me.
 
Punching bags are good, you burn about as much calories boxing for 10 mins as you do jogging for 10 mins. But in my opinion nothing is better than running. Do your cardio before anything else, thats what I do. If you get bored, which can make you tired, listen to music or soemthing to get your mind off running which will in return give you more endurence.
5 pounds is easy, you could loose that in like 2 1/2 weeks.
