Hello everyone,

I started at a weight of 130 kilos and past two years I've lost 28kg! i started with running/walking 2km everyday. After that i got a gym sub ten minutes from my house. I did everything by the book. I ate healthy and exercised daily. After two years of controlled eating and exercising daily i got stuck! like really stuck, i weight now 102kg. Im doing everything like i did the past two years but nothing seems to work. I hope i can get help from you guys. My goals is to get to the 85kg! but first, what am i doing wrong?

You want to lose another 17kg - but the first question has to be whether there is 17kg to lose... It is worth checking things like BMI or better still - body fat percentage (using a meter or maybe a trainer at the gym could do it for you with calipers).

Assuming there is still weight to lose - sometimes on a long project things get stuck... It happened to me a few times on my big project (ten years ago).
- Sometimes I got things going by increasing my exercise levels
- Sometimes I cut calories
- Sometimes I changed things about - this one was really funny - I had one plateau and I got things moving by stopping having weetabix for breakfast and I had another plateau that got moving when I stopped having weetabix for breakfast.......
- my last plateau kept me away from goal weight and it was down to me eating home made veg soup (very low calorie) which included a stock cube which was high in sodium... I stopped having the home made soup and drank water and my weight came beautifully down...

You've been at this for 2 years... Do a nutritional breakdown analysis and check that you are eating at a healthy level for all nutrients and not too much sodium... With luck something will jump out at you.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. My BMI is 28, its too much i know. Sometimes i feel like i eat to little and exercise too much. I burn around 800kcal at the gym by weight lifting and cardio. When i eat i feel like im gonna get that 30kg back in a sec.. I dont eat bread or food with too much fat in it. I dont drink any sugary drinks too, im already 2 years cola sober haha

Well done for your achievements... Since you go to the gym a lot - it is probably worth you getting the body fat percent calculated...
There are lots of very lean people with BMI in the 25 to 30 range if they have a lot of muscle...

BMI is an indicator - but body fat percent is better...
My nephew was a professional rugby player and he had a BMI between 25 and 30 with no fat whatsoever - and I used to have a pilates, aerobics and keep fit instructor who told me that her BMI was over 25. She was very lean too.
