can you have too much cinammon?

I have 2 bowls of oatmeal each day and I use quite a lot of cinammon in each one, is too much cinammon bad for you?

Here's a great article on how cinnamon is GOOD for you:

# Supports digestive function
# Constricts and tones tissues
# Relieves congestion
# Relieves pain and stiffness of muscles and joints
# Relieves menstrual discomfort
# Blood-thinning compounds that stimulate circulation
# Anti-inflammatory compounds that may relieve arthritis
# Helps prevent urinary tract infections, tooth decay and gum disease
# It’s a powerful anti-microbial agent that can kill E. coli and other bacteria
This one details some of the downsides (though many of them are symptomatic of allergic reactions):

* Breathing problems or tightness in your throat or chest
* Chest pain
* Skin hives, rash, or itchy or swollen skin
* Skin burns have been reported with Cinnamon oil (5,6)
* Mouth sores have occurred with Cinnamon chewing gum (7,8,9) and Cinnamon toothpaste (10,11)
* Increased heart rate (pulse), feeling dizzy, shortness of breath, and redness of the face may occur if you take too much Cinnamon (5,12)

You bet you can have too much. Have you ever heard of that drink - Aftershock - it's a flavored liquer. I drank a whole bottle of that crap and puked my brains out - that's too much. Couldn't even smell cinammon for like 2 years.

sometimes cinnamon gives me heartburn. pretty mild side effect.

McCarley...Aftershock is the only thing I've ever blacked out on. to this day the scent of it makes me cringe.

What kind of liquor aftershock just out of curiosity?

We have here Hot 100 and Fireball they are cinnamon flavored whisky that I have been know to use when cooking, or mixed with juice to make first degree burns.
