Can someone kick me?

I've been off of my diet now for 9 days, and I've gone from 205 to 209-210. Grr...My plan was to get under 200, and it's back fired. Do you think there is still enough time for me to get under 200 lbs before the end of this month?

Sure but it won't be a good way to lose it. I have gave up on trying to lose weight per se. I was never obese but i wasn't satisfied either. Now i'm trying to change my whole eating style and i really didn't know how much i missed weight training. Eating right is coming along slowly but i know once i get it down all the fat/salt/junk food will taste like crap to me. And I know my body won't like it. I figure it will take 6 months to be a life time healthy eater with a few cheats here and there of course.

*Kick*

I wouldn't even watch your weight. Perhaps monitor your belt size, and how you feel.

You shouldn't consider it a diet either. You should consider it simply the healthy way you eat =)

And if you can't stick to this method - perhaps you went to extreme to quickly. I, for instance, still use butter and salt as normally. But now, I am putting my butter and salt on fresh veggies, instead of slathering it on a chunck of white bread to go with my heaping plate of non-whole wheat pasta.

You don't have to give up the good things in life, completely anyway.
Add in the healthy things, learn what you like, and run with that. There are so many healthy things to eat, that when you are eating them, you will think "how can health taste THIS good" . . . Mc Donalds? To the curb.

Enjoy eating my friend, because it is something you will most likely do everyday for the rest of your life.

Good advice. I too still use very moderate levels of salt/butter. They taste a lot better that way.
