Here is TX the Governor encourages folks to exercise, so he has set up as a website to track your exercise and join in some Texas competitions, marathons and the Governor's Challenge. the Gov's Challenge is to encourage people to track their exercise and see if they are exercising 30 minutes a day at least 5 days/week for 6 weeks.
Different teams are set up (you make your own team, but most are broken down by state agency) and you can track your progress and your teams progress against other folks and teams in the state.
I've been trying to get the gym-bodies in my office to join since I started our agency team in early March.
You go on each day and enter your exercise activities (you can go back and enter stuff you did this weekend, or on a day you forgot to enter).
So I check our team roster and I notice that the guys (why is it always the guys) have all back dated their exercise to 1/1/05. So where several of the girls were doing well with 20,000 points (sine we have been adding our exercise since we joined the team in March 05 when the team was created), suddenly we are all overshadowed by the guys who joined yesterday but somehow have 135,000 points. When I asked WTF was up I hear, 'Well, I've been exercising since last year."
Well that makes sense. Should I back date my exercise to 1994? Because 1,500,000,000 points would really put our team ahead.
What IS it with guys!
