Okay so I didnt know where to post this, but I know a lot of people come here to the 'Club' section, so here it goes:

I have a question I hope someone can help! I am working out 6 times a week, cardio 3-4 times, and weights 2-3 times a week. I have changed my eating habits by picking healthier foods, and having smaller porportions. Now my question is, what types of food should I be eating daily? Should I be eating mostly protein during the day? Should I cut the carbs and fat? If I eat lots of protein will it help me lose fat and gain muscle?

any help would be great!

I'd say, cut the fat, go easy on the carbs, and eat a healthy amount of protein. Protein will help you maintain and gain muscle, and your body needs a small amount of fat and carbs to be able to function properly. Cutting carbs and eating more protein will help you lose weight, but if your'e not planning on eating that way for the rest of your life then you stand a chance to gain it back at some point. That's why I'm against trying to cut carbs out of your diet completely, it's just not natural.

Hi

I am not sure if you have heard of Micheal Thurmond Six week Body makeover.

This is a diet which balances out protein/carbs and works wonders. I call it my magic diet.

You can check out the details on

You need to blueprint your body as this diet is specific to body types and foods differ from person to person based on your metabolism.

I have lost 35 pounds on this diet and out of which 22 pounds in just 6 weeks. The best part I love about this diet is you see the results the very next day.

HSN.com is selling this for just 99.95 with free shipping. Believe me if you are serious and committed and want the results fast this is the way. Just make sure you stick to it and are ready for the commitment.

thanks peridot eyes, I know what you mean about the carbs, I love carb rich food lol. But I dont want to cut them all together ( I dont think I could do it! ) And I want to build lose weight (well fat) and gain muscle mass. thanks again

I think a good balanced diet with 30% of calories coming from protein and fat, and 40% from carbohidrates is a good thing. I am still stuggling to eat that much protein though, I'm more around 15-20% with protein.

There is some controversy on how much protein the body really needs, and if it is much more then needed, I heard it can affect negatively kidneys.
You can play with different foods and see what makes you feel better. A balanced meal with protein, carbs and fat will tend to fill you up and keep you full for longer. Stay away from sugary snacks, but if you must have something sweet, eat some protein/complex carbs first. If you just eat suger by itself, like a cookie, it will create sugar high and then fast low, making you tired and hungry quicker. If you eat something sweet at the end of the balanced meal, the sugar's effect is drastically reduced, at least in my experience. And because you're already full, you will tend to eat just a small piece of sugary dessert, and not overeat. I try to stay away from sweets, but there are days when you just crave them, and if I eat them after meal, I still don't get hungry for a while, as if I did not have it at all.
