calves

is there any way to work out the calves with barbells/dumbells.

im thinking something like putting barbell on shoulder and then tippy toeing?? would that help?
 
Get yourself a small step, that way you can extend more then just tippy toeing.

tippy toeing will only extend up but with a step you will extend that little more by going down.

i use a 4x2 piece of wood and step off that.
