Hello,
I have a question about calorie counting. Since I've started calorie counting in March, I have been using an app to keep track of everything inside the calories, so like watching my fat, sugar, carbs, etc.and trying not to exceed the daily limit of those things for a 1,500 calorie diet (example: no more than 53 grams of fat is recommended for 1,500 calories) My question is, is this important for my weight loss? Does it matter if I go over the recommendation for fat/sugar as long as I'm still under 1,500 calories? I know it's definitely better for my health to stay under those limits, but is it important to weight loss? That's what I've been thinking this whole time but my brother argues it doesn't matter what makes up the calories, it just matters the number of calories. So can I still lose weight even if I go over the recommended limit for fat, sugar, carbs, etc. as long as it adds up to 1,500 calories?
Sorry if this is confusing, I struggled with how to word this properly lol.
Thank you!
