Calorie intake question....

Here is my question because honestly Im not 100% sure Im sure some people can clear this up for me.

I am 5'10 174lbs at the moment and I would like to stay the size I am....

My normal day I am running anywhere between 4-5 miles usually ends up being a 650-700 calories according to the tredmill.

I play hockey a good 5x a week ont he same days I am running generally for 1-1.5 hours and it is said thats a good 7-900 calorie work out maybe more just suggested really no way to count that...

My question is to maintain the size I am and fuel myself/eat properly how many calories should I consume per day?

Probably somewhere around 2800-3000.

But who knows?

It's all about picking a range, sticking with it consistently, and tracking your metrics. If things remain constant... your intake was close enough to maintenance. If not, adjust accordinly.

okay great Im around 2500 per day but I definately need to start eating more as I feel real tired after hockey at night most of the time, thanks for the quick response steve.

No problem.

Remember, you're not signing a contract that you're forced to adhere to when you select a calorie intake. Pick a ballpark. Sit in it for a while. If you don't leave... move to the next one.

It's all about bodily feedback and making modifications to your approach based on said feedback.
