Hi, I recently started excersizing in order to lose weight and maybe gain some muscle in the process. I started 2/7/12 at 184 lbs and today 2/13, I weight about 179 with a goal weight of 150, slowly but surely.
My diet is eating 5x a day but i am unsure about my calorie intake.I usually eat a half cup of granola in the morning with a cup of 2% milk and half a medium sized orange. Than as a snack the other half orange with a cup of milk. Than for lunch a turkey sandwich with wheat bread and one slice of Swiss cheese and maybe half an orange/apple with a teaspoon of olive oil or a cup of milk. Than another snack. Than dinner I usually eat the same thing as lunch or sometimes I don't eat dinner at all because the stuff my mom makes Is kinda bad. I also drink like 3 or 4 16.9 fl oz bottles of water a day
I am 5'7 and 17 years old and do 30 min cardio 5x a week and strength 2x... I really have no idea how much calories I am burning or taking in and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice.. I know you have a big weight drop off when just starting out so I just want to know if Im On the right track. Also I'm not really trying to be buff or anything I just want to be average.
