buying a bathing suit

Well I have been running diligently for cardio, but the weather is starting to be a serious problem, so today I figured I would go to the local pool and start swimming laps instead of running...but first I need to buy a new bathing suit. I cannot find any stores that sell them this time of year!

So where do you buy your swim trunks during autumn?

Thanks,
Aaron (Male, Canada)

Well, I can't say this will work for you, but I found a great deal on one around this time years ago at Dillard's in a tucked away 'sale' section. You may try department stores and see if they have any.

Otherwise... there's always ordering over the Internets!

When I was big (and therefore bought all my clothes at Evans which virtually has a monopoly on clothing for big women here) I needed a bathing costume at around this time of year and there werent any in my local branch. They were classed as a seasonal item and I was shopping out of season...

Anyway - I phoned them up and asked whether any shops in their chain still stocked them.

I discovered that one branch in the area had been nominated the "bathing costume branch" and all the other branches had been instructed to send their surplus stock there. I went and found that I actually had a choice over what to get. It therefore worked out better than I imagined possible.

With that experience in mind - I suggest that you contact the store that you would go to if it were in season and ask them the same question. You might get a similar answer.

Thanks for all the tips everyone. I'll try contacting a few stores...

@brazenlysasse:
small world! I grew up in langley (but now I'm in abbotsford)

Today went well. Burned off a lot of energy doing laps, and met some attractive lifeguards ;) ... but now a few hours later my body is covered in a rash! I guess I'm allergic to chlorine maybe?

*sigh*

awww..that just sucks... It has happened to me before when i went to the pool regularly, so i started to take an antihistamine before i went swimming. It didn't completely stop it, but definitely lessened it. Won't work for everyone im sure, but it may be worth a shot. Take care :)

It might be worth trying a different pool as one may use a different dilution factor compared to another...
