Buttocks

This post isn't meant to be immature but I just don't know what the muscle is called at your buttocks.

Here is my situation :

I have started a Low carb Diet and have been on it for about 3 weeks now and I have lost 15 pounds, feeling great. Currently my weight is 152, only 12 more pounds to go and the most fat on my body is on my belly and buttocks. I know how to hide the fat on my belly by doing sit ups and crunchs but I do not know how to hide the fat on my buttocks. I heard walking alot and doing squats was the best for it but I don't see any of them helping at all. I walk 20-30 minutes everyday or even more and I do 30-50 squats each day. The only thing sore on my body are my legs not my buttocks when im doing this.

I am a guy and I think this is a problem for me. I need to hide it fast since I cannot lose it fast. Can someone help me please?

The muscles in your buttocks are called your "gluteus maximus", or "glutes" in exercise terminology.

If you are looking to 'hide' your glutes, or minimize the look of the muscles in your hindquarters, perhaps looking into fashion websites could assist. I know that wearing pants without pleats helps, and lighter colors can help out, or even possibly the cut of a pair of jeans can make you look thinner.

I notice in your post that you do still mention working out to get rid of the bulky glutes, and you have to know this - there is no true method to 'spot train' to lose body fat in any specific area. You can tone your glutes up and muscle them up all you want, but if there is a thick layer of fat over them, you can't just exercise that area and hope it goes away. You need to work on your entire body to make the fat go away. Building muscle is the best method, because muscle burns 6 times more calories than fat.

What is your diet like? You need to exercise to burn more calories than you take in to burn the fat.
