Busy mom not much time for myself

Hey I am new to this and I just wanted to find a place that gives information and support for my liife changes. I am currently losing weight and feeling positive about it. Many wonder why a Mom of four little ones ages 5 and under could be so over weight. I don't know either. I just happened. Let myself go from being tired and snacking all day to keep myself awake and the stress of everyday life. But I desire change and will. So let's talk.[/COLOR]

Welcome.

I was in the best shape of my life when I ran a home daycare. There is nothing like chasing little ones and lifting baby weights to work you out if you approach your day that way. Look at your kids as an opportunity to be active and healthy. Walk to the park, push a stroller or drag a wagon full of kids. Push swings, push merry-go-rounds. Keeping yourself busy playing with the kids and teach them about healthy food choices.

I know that sounds simplistic...but you really can get a good work out just by being a great mommy.

Good luck on your journey and don't forget to appreciate every minute of your little ones.:seeya:

Thanks

Just today the kids and I danced by the Christmas tree to rock'n around the christmas tree it was so much fun. I will keep dancing, playing and having fun with my wonderful kids. The weight will come off I know it. Thanks

Wow. Your post just took me through a stroll down memory lane. My mum was the same way. She had to take care of four little girls/ demons under the age of 5 while dad went off to the construction site at 4am until 4pm. I can remember times where my mom would be so sad, because she couldn't fit into her jeans. She then started taking all of us to the park via walking (b/c dad had the car during the day). She started doing small things here and there to keep us active (and to help her to lose weight) with the hopes of having us pass out later on. haha One thing I do remember clearly was having mom dance with us one by one near the Christmas tree while playing holiday music. Good times. :D

Anyways.. sorry for my babbling. haha I just wanted to say congrats to you for wanting to start up a healthy new lifestyle. With having four bundles of joy over there, I'm sure you'll reach your goal in no time. Welcome to the forum and I do hope to see you around.

Glad to see you've found your way to the forum! :seeya:
This is a great place for encouragement. And you'll make great cyber-friends.
I work full time on the weekends 12 hour shifts F-S-S and have M-Th off during the week. So sometimes I "feel" like a SAHM. I have 3 kids ages 16 nearly 17, 7 turning 8 in 2 weeks and 4 1/2. The 4 1/2 yr old is the reason for the weird work hours. I really wanted to spend this last year with him before he goes off to school full time.
Sounds like you got the right attitude with trying to incorporate your new lifestyle into everything you do with the kids.
Hope to see ya around!

LOL That's the other bonus of being active with your kids...they will pass out and then you can enjoy a little "me" time.
