Bulking vs. Cutting

What's the difference between a bulking routine and a cutting routine?
Any examples would be great too.

Thanx,
J;)

Bulking and cutting is more about your diet. The weight training wont change much. If you were cutting you would add more cardio work.

Couldn't of said it better myself. My personal routine doesn't change at all, my diet changes drastically, and I add 2 days of cardio to my otherwise cardio-less routine.

depends i guess.. you could bulk first to get big mucles, then cut to get rid of the fat you gained while bulking.. so you would bulk until ur happy with your muscle mass and want to get more defined, im not sure, im no expert:p

How often should one alternate between bulking and cutting?
The normal is usually 3-4 months however I determine my ending by looking in the mirror and asking myself if I am satisfied with the results.

Agreed, I don't go by time. Rather I have a certain bf% that I always cut at, I bulk until I get fat enough to hit that. Then I cut.

Or I just do whatever the F I feel like, lol..

I'll go on a 6month bulking phase, usually in the summer when im going out and seeing my friends and having hollidays, that way I can eat what I want and not worry about putting weight on.

Then I'll do a cutting phase for 3months, then for the last three months I do what ever I feel like day to day depending on how I feel.
