Bulking qustions

I have been bulking for a month now and have gained 6 pounds while maintaining my bf @ 11%. Does this sound like it is headed in the right direction? I run 20 min 3 times a week and weight train 3 times a week. The weight training is going well. I train 2 muscle groups each day with 3 different exercises 3-4 sets 8-10 reps for each. Diet is clean with oatmeal and a protein shake in the am. Peanut butter sandwich on wheat for morning break chicken salad for lunch cottage cheese for afternoon break and a low carb high protein dinner (meat and vegs with the family). What duration, weight gain or in short criteria should be used to call bulking done? I have just spent the last year dumping 65lbs, seeing the scale going the other way is very concerning please understand!!!

IF you've gained 6 pounds in a month and maintained the same bodyfat %, then yeah, I'd say you're heading in the right direction. What are you using to check your bodyfat ?? Because to me, honestly, you don't seem to be eating enough to bulk. But apparently if you're gaining weight, you're doing something right. You say your 5'10" anf 156 lbs, so you still have room for a bit more beef !! :) Keep up the good work.

I'm using an omron fat analyzer. The scale is definitely going up and the belly fat feels like more but the abs seem to grow also. What would be a good weight to stop at?

Stop at any weight you want to be. If you want to be 300 pounds of pure muscle, go for it! If you want to be 160 pounds - also good. Just gain an amount of weight you're happy with.

I think that you are definitely on the right track... and as long as you are keeping track of your body fat percentage, I wouldn't be too concerned with what the scale says. Its all about how you look and how you feel, not how much you weigh.
