Building Muscle?

First of all let me say, I'm new to the strength training and muscle building. I've been running for a very long time, though. In no way at ALL do I want to lose weight or gain it. I'm trying to build muscle. I'm very small. I'm 5'4 and I weigh 112. I eat pretty healthy all the time; veggies, fruits, lean meat... but I definitely don't starve myself; I feel like I eat a lot! I have very small bones, like my entire family, and I'm not goin to give up running a few times a week. So my goal is to build muscle so that I don't look just skin and bone. I started drinking this MyoPlex protein shake, which in the entire bottle has 42g of protein I think? It says to drink it within the first 30 minutes after a workout. Is this what I should be doing? I need some help. Advice on what I should be drinking?

I prefer to go with actual whey protein powder, as then you can measure it out yourself, combine it with whatever you want, and it's ultimately cheaper than buying premixed protein drinks all the time. Also important to note, a post-workout drink shouldn't really contain more than 30g of protein, as that's about the maximum amount of protein that your body is able to absorb from a supplement.

I agree with Robinson003. Protein powder is one of the most useful supplement for body building. You can take protein shake daily.

more important iws what y9ou are doing to build muscle. Food (protein hsakes are food) simply fuel the building process.

Are you lifting weights?
Lower reps, heavier weight, and good recovery time will build muscles for ya!

Sweat Daily!

I agree - It´s important that you train to build your muscle, if that´s what you want - Then think of the intake.

I have problems with the protein drinks, since they don´t do good to my digestion - So I actually eat proteins from normal food.
You write you eat lots of fruit, that´s good, but this want help you in gaining muscle, you need to take in more proteins (again after you did your muscle building workout).
