Broken lower fibula (few days ago)

I will not see the orthopedic doc until later next week (thats what ER doc told me, it cant be that bad since I was walking on it that day, I just thought it was sprained).

I have a bowflex in my apartment that I rarely use (my company pays for a gym membership), but I was wondering if I could use it to do upper body work while my leg was healing.

I was thinking a fast pace workout, not to heavy, so I wont need to balance much with my legs. The injury is on my right leg and currently has a splint on it atm.

Just sucks since i started going to gym I made alot of progress and now I am going to get setback by the damned leg. Any help would be appreciated

I think the pain will tell you what you'll be able to do or not do.

There are plenty of things to do to keep your cardio up. Also, there are things like one leg deadlifts that people do all the time. You'll be able to work your way around the break, especially with a cast. The exerercise will hasten the healing as well I'm sure. I would still go to the gym and adjust accordingly. Hang in there, it'll be healed in no time.
