Morning everyone,
While I never really had this as a bonafide goal, I'm quite pleased (okay, deliriously thrilled) to announce I managed to chest press 100 pounds on the Cybex machine today. Back when I started in 12/06, I chest-pressed 55 pounds, so there has definitely been an increase in my strength.
My real goal, however, is to actually, finally, with style and grace and ultimate coolness, be able to do one (only 1!) chinup without any assistance. Right now, I have a 30 pound counter balance, so I'm chinning up 105 pounds. That's decent, I suppose, but ever since reading how pullups and chinups (and squats, but I digress) are super all-body exercises, I've always wanted to do one.
Quite happy today,
Barbara
