Brittany's Weight Loss Journey

Hello all. My name is Brittany. I'm 24 years old. At the current moment, I am in between jobs but will most likely be starting back as a Dental Assistant this week :hurray: I have my theories/reasons for being overweight. I don't consider them 'excuses,' just reasons why. 1 reason is that for the past few years I have been managing a dental practice which involves a whole lot of sitting behind a desk. Also, I have PCOS-Polycystic Ovarian Disease/Syndrome which affects multiple things, including causing obesity. Another thing it does it converts things differently making me exhausted after not doing a whole lot that day. Luckily, it hasn't been as bad lately.

I'm 5'5, and right now I weigh 250lbs. My goal weight is between 130-150(I've got a medium frame). In high school I ranged between 155-175 as I was very active then in Cheerleading. After graduating high school, I moved 2 hours away into West Palm Beach, FL. I was on Depo Provera at that time for birth control, and used fast food as convenience because we(my boyfriend at the time and I) were both working full time and going to school full time. I gained around 50 pounds then. Now its just steadily creeped a little higher over time.

Right now I don't any type of exercise or diet routine made. I am going to ween myself off of soda (I have a Pepsi addiction lol) until not drinking it at all. I would really like to get a pair of roller blades and do some exercising with that.

I will update this as often as I can, and update with pictures every 3 weeks. Pictures now will come soon.

Please let me know any comments or suggestions!

Thanks,

Brittany

I just want to say that i think its normal to feel exhausted after a full day at work even if you are sitting behind a desk and not doing much physical activity. The mental effort of running an office is huge and tiredness is natural. When i did an office job, its also how i felt and i wasn't even in charge. Its just normal.

If you want to do any exercise, you should try to do it at lunch time before you are worn out from the day. It might even help you get through the day better.

When i work at that office in the city my window was opposite a park and at lunch times i used to watch many office workers go running or walking in the park in their lunch breaks. I did it sometimes too.

I used to like it when i had a job where i would walk 30 minutes to and from home to get there. That helped a lot keep my wait down.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am (hopefully) starting a new position today, so I will have to see what the schedule is. And I'll have to see exactly what I can do as I live in Florida, andits summertime---if I went outside for a 30 minute walk, my clothes would be drenched! lol But I do plan on taking evening walks with my boyfriend. Thanks again!
