Bad day!
So I had my gyno visit today and almost cried when I stood on the scales.
97 kg (213,84) lbs :eek2:

My last visit was 90 kg (198.4 lbs) about 27 days ago.
I was comfortable putting on that much but jumping another 7kg (15.4 lbs) oops :(

It means in total I have gained 34kgs (74.9lbs) on this pregnancy.

I just can't help it. While I do eat healthy things I drink way to much full cream milk and eat way to many chocolate / biscuits etc. my pregancy diabetes tests all came back ok, so no issues there.
I'm just so uncomfortable and restless, plus cutting down on smoking doesn't make it any easier. (I know smoking while pregnant is bad, I've had the lecturs. I used to smoke between 13 and 15 a day but while pregnant its down to 4 or 5 a day. I would just be to stressed if I stopped completely).

Once baby is born I will start my weight loss diary here to get rid of this weight.

Good news though, baby is all ok and his head is down. Just a waiting game now.

The most important thing is that the baby is ok.

I have never been pregnant - but I do know all about beating yourself up about weight gain... Don't beat yourself up and allow it to stress you because it tends to turn into a vicious circle where people eat more...

What has happened had happened...

Thankfully you are both doing ok... The baby is all ok and your diabetes test is ok...

Focus on these enormous positives...

Some people manage to switch a love of chocolate over to something that does less damage to the weight... Sugar free sweets or fruit for instance... Habit can be a terrible thing and some people just want to keep their mouth occupied - and things like sugar free gum can help with that...

You're right, baby is ok and that is the most important thing.
It was just a shock and a bit of a downer.

I can however try to maintain it for now then focus on losing it after baby arrives.
Bananas and raw carrots I can do, things like apples just irritate the heartburn.

I think the worst is not so much the putting on of the weight, is that I know the weight gain that i allowed to happen has lead to me being more uncomfortable. Its comfortable near the end no matter how much you have gained but the more weight does make it harder to walk, legs get sore quicker, out of breath easily.

I hope he comes soon, I can't do this much longer

I didn't know you was waiting for a baby, I guess it's a good news, I'm happy everything is ok with the baby, good luck if it's for soon !

Thanks, being a mum is an amazing feeling but the 9months is not so amazing :-/
Yep :) I'm 38 weeks and 2 days which means he can come anytime between now and the 5th of August. I gave birth to my first son at 38 weeks and 5 days so I'm hoping this one is early also. He's also supposed to be bigger than my first which is hopeful that he will come early.

I will start my diary here once baby arrives but it will obviously take a while to get into sports and things but walking and eating better the first few months will definitely drop some kgs of.

I am past over it though, hubby is also as having a pregnant hormonal uncomfortable wife is not that much fun for him either lol

As someone said Jadis, the only interesting thing in pregnancy is 9 months before the baby is born.

I would say it's your hubby's responsability to watch over you.

the more weight does make it harder to walk, legs get sore quicker, out of breath easily.

Lots of us know all about that - I felt pretty trim by the time I got down to 214 pounds... some of that weight is the baby and will go from you very soon... The rest will come off with food control and exercise... start walking slowly as soon as you can... it does not need to be fast to be effective - and it will build your stamina so that you can walk faster and further...

Lol Benny, that's so true.
He does watch over me, he's more supportive than I could have imagined and I know I'm not an easy woman when pregnant.

@ omega.
Thanks, yep the first month I plan do do lots and lots of walking, I brought a pedometer to count steps and will work my way towards the 10,000 step a day goal, will increase daily by 500 to 1000 steps. Walking also will help get my pelvis back to normal.
I was about 82 ish kgs (180 lbs) when I first arrived in France and I wasn't pregnant. It was tough to move about then also.

Once baby comes out I think I can drop anything from 3 to 5 kgs depending on his weight and the weight of the placenta.
