Sport Break up my 1 hour cardio?

I'm doing 30 minutes on the elliptical and I want to bump to 60 minutes of total cardio. The problem is, I can't do 60 non-stop. I think I could probably do 20 on the treadmill, take 5 minutes off, then 40 on the elliptical. Part of me thinks, "Do what you can do without taking the break." Part of me thinks, "Better to get in an hour with a 5 minute break than 40 minutes with no break."

What do you think?

Almost forgot, 5'11, 212 lbs. I want to get to 180 by June 1.

My targets over the next few weeks are 30min+ sessions twice a day on my non-training days.

Most people need to get a minimum of 5hours of physcial activity per week to be lean. This includes training and cardio.
 
Basically the same has you. Little treadmill and elliptical. However, i'm about to go for a walk outdoors. :) I'm on a caloric deflict right now thou.
