Brandi's Journey

Hi Everyone! My name is Brandi, I've been a "part" of these boards for quite some time. Usually just reading and getting inspired by other's. I even posted "before" pictures back in June or or July of last year but didn't stick with it at all! : x I'm not ashamed just realizing I wasn't quite ready then.

A little infor on me, I'm 23 5'3 and weight 174 pounds ... I work for an airline as a flgiht attendant (oh boo) and before I started this job I was 155 pounds! No biggie though, we all expect it! To make things clear as much as losing weight is what I want I am more or less just trying to get into a size ten again. It's not all about being in the single digits for me, I just want to be at a comfortable weight where I can still have that ice cream every now and then. I've steadly been the same weight so no worries about gaining, I'm just trying to lose it! : )

I have been doing the whole Turbo Jam thing for about a week now with absolutely no results for me, no weight loss anyway. I do feel better about myself after I've sweated for an hour strait but (being honest here) I'm ready to give up on it. I keep telling myself to keep going but I am sure everyone on here knows how I feel. I at least feel that I've been more active, I would have just hoped for a pound loss. Boo

Have a great day, I've got a full one where I end up in Buffalo NY tonight ... I'll squeeze in a 20 min work out when I get to the hotel tonight (that's about all the time I'll have lol) and work out tomorrow.

*quite update* I hadn't worn my uniform dress for a few days and when I just put it on it's fitting loser. I feel hope again! : )

I flew home to Texas today (woohoo) and since I am home I decided to have my sister check my "stats" ... I've very happy lost 7 1/2 inches in thirteen days! Still no weight loss but I wasn't expecting it just yet, I can tell my muscles are building. : )

I am still drinking just water and about to work out. I am not going to let my "break" stop my goals.

Keep going!

Hi Brandy, I'm Mila... I'm a brazilian.
I lived in US for one year and half, then came back to Brazil in november (last year). While I was in United States I ate a lot of junk food. When I went my weight was 176 pounds (I'm 5'6") and after all those months there my weight turned into horrible 215 lbs. :(
In Brazil I ate healthier, and homemade food... didn't drink a lot of soft drink, sandwiches and all those things. You can imagine how sad I felt. I was also far from my family and all this made me eat more and more... so the result was an elephant Mile :p ahaha
After I came back, I started eating better again, but didn't start a diet, I was hopeless, I think. So last month I decided to start a diet. Since I came back I lost 6.6 pounds, and after starting the diet more 6.6 pounds... It has been 10 days since I started turbo jam. I haven't weighed myself yet but I can tell that something is probably happening because in the beginning I felt muscle pain, which is normal since they are working and being built. After the first 3 workouts the pain was gone. I keep doing my turbo jam ever single day... there's no vacation, they off or holidays for diet and exercise! haha. People already say that I look thinner and all... nothing amazing but something at least. If I don't do my workout I feel bad and guilty, so I always do. I decided to do the 20 minute workout, I don't want to be radical... and I enjoy this one better than the other workouts Chalene has there. I read you burn 300 - 500 calories with this 20 minute workout, it all depends of your intensity and metabolism too. I ate less too, and if I feel hungry and it's not time to eat, you can drink tea or a cold glass of water. Sometimes I have fruit as snack... an apple had 65 kcal, and a banana has 89... so it's not much considering when you start a diet, you want to have 1000 kcals per day or less, if possible. The important is to burn with the workout. some people exercise but eat junk food... no miracle can help them.
Don't give up on your workout. I know when we try to eliminate weight we get anxious and seems that we take forever to eliminate them. So, just try to relax and see your workout not as something that will make you lose weight, but like something that will bring you a healthier life. ;) I wish you good luck, and if you want to talk to me just say, we can exchange ideas and opinions, experiences.

P.S. nevermind the username :p I got it on a website where you can't find usernames and codes to use websites without signing up. I was just looking around and foud some nice stories here :)
