Started in April at 203 (5' 6"), been overweight for 15 years and was tired of it. I really enjoy food (especially ice cream/chocolate) and dieting was not an option although adding fruits/vegetables was not an issue. What I am doing so far:
- 40 minutes of vigorous cardio per day
- working out then sleeping (to avoid late night munchies, real problem)
- eating far more vegetables and fruit
- cut snacking down by 1/3
- 15 minutes daily walking
- having breakfast every day
I am at 179 lbs. right now and losing almost exactly 2 lbs. per week. What should the ultimate goal be? I’m thinking around 140 though I don’t know how much weight I’m gaining in muscle mass. Can't wait to hit the maintenance phase, that will be the fun part.
