Hello everyone! My name is Laura, and I've been meaning to lose weight for a long time (ever since I had a concept of fat vs thin, really...) but somehow never got around to it...the longest diet I ever stuck to was about a month last year (although it worked, sort of...until the holidays rolled around.) I think I've been doing most things right--my biggest problem is motivation. Hence, joining a community seemed like the logical next step in my quest to get healthier.

I'll be graduating college soon, and as many know, college...not the best place for watching your weight. (Especially if first year when they MAKE you have unlimited access to the carbo-loading cafeteria where pizza and french fries are the most decent foods served...)

So yeah, I'm really mostly looking for inspiration...and of course, getting to know some cool people along the way. (That's the best part about journeys, right?)
 
Yo College is where I packed it on so you are right to be worried about that one. The old freshman 15 you know. Between the endless supply of french fries, grilled cheeses and soda in the cafeteria and the beer pong and flip cup games at night the weight just piles on. It was damn fun though but I paying for it now. Don't make the same mistake! Stick to hard liquor!
