id like someone to comment on my body fat/weight. im 19yold male.stand about 5'6 3/4 and weigh in about 124pds with a 27inch waist. i realise theres little on me but my bmi was in the 'optimal' range i.e very lean without being underweight.
This mens health body fat calculator just gave me 6% bodyfat?!! All it asked was my weight and waist measurement.
i was under the impression that the main concerns with being too thin/underweight were being frail aswell as a poor immune system/lack of iron?
However i feel i eat pretty well and do resistance training often so these
wouldnt be a problem.
what does everyone think?

thanks

that calculator isn't accurate. You are very light though, but unless your having problems with it, then each to his own.

There's a very simple solution to this. Eat more.

IMO (if you haven't picked up on this), you're too light. Hard to believe that you're 6% and that calculator is an extremely inaccurate way to figure it out

Calculators are just guesses. Most of the time, it's a hit and sometimes it's a miss but almost always is not 100% accurate.

Take an example of a super-skinny guy with a waist of 30'' versus another person who have a hard six-pack at 30'' where both weighing the same and height. The calcuator will show the same % bodfat but we know it's off... why? Because the muscle on the six-packed 30'' will add inches to that waistline where the other 30'' is more fat. Maybe one person has more bone density then the other (the case of big vs small boned person).

Either way, you are pretty lean and probably have a super high metabolism. As long as your are consuming enough calories per day, good for you and stay heathy and strong.
