What excersises can you do to build and tone your body, and keep fit with NO equiptment. I know theres a DVD out 'Prison Workout' ( I cant afford that, lol ) is there any sites or anythink? Please help. Thanx

I think that would be tough to accomplish. I'm planning on starting a dumbbell weight routine. I've read that if you know how to use 'em you can get a very decent strenght workout, in fact, if you can't make it to a gym, some pro's recommend just a pair of dumbbells instead of all those fancy home gym stuff that you see all the time on TV. I can't "weight" to get started :) ... been looking at those power block db's but they're a bit expensive... any recommendations?

Close Grip Pull Ups-w/ palm away grip and palm facing you grip...

Wide Grip Pull Ups-w/ palm away grip and palm facing you grip...

Incline Pushups

Decline Pushups

Pushups

Dips

Sissy Squats

....just some ideas on different exercises you can do without any weights...

...read up on pilates and yoga positions those are the best for toning and loosing weight using your own bodyweight....

If you go to walmart or something like that you can get the adjustable ones. for around 50 bucks youll have a decent amount of weight for them, I use them religiously. I have a home gym(700$) and the adjustable dumbells are used like 3-4 times more(100$ I have a lot of weight plates lol). Or if your that poor look into some gymnast workouts or cheerleader workouts, they use all body weight excercises I believe. The bowflex select tech I believe are 350$ which is ridiculous for me lol. and if you do get the adjustable ones dont get the package deal from walmart unless they have the metal collars, I got a pair of plastic ones and about 20 lbs fell on me because the plastic collars slipped off the thread.

I purchased a Sear's version of the Total Gym and it was $250 and I love it..I use it everyday. It is long but narrow...and i keep mine in my livingroom...It uses a percentage of your wt against you & is very sturdy and very easy to use. I love mine..

hello

You can use anything from cans of soup to your kitchen chair. I have even used a sack of taters by grabbing both hands on the twisted closure (plastic bag) and pull up to my chest. Let your imagination run wild! I have a friend put plastic wrap around her thighs just while she was doing her exercises. Makes the body sweat where you wrap it. But you can't keep it on for an extended period of time.
