Hello, my name is Tara, I am 21, married, no kids and I am from Orange County, California. I am still kinda new here, but I figured starting a diary would be a great thing for me because I am making new friends and keep myself accountable. I need support for people right now which is why I am here. I am having a hard time getting on track and getting the ball rolling. I really think that the first and last 10 pounds are the hardest. The first is hard because you have to get the ball rolling, and the last you are burnt out on losing weight. lol.
Here are some things about me, I saw these questions in the sticky in here so I figured it would be a great way to start off my diary.
-- How much weight do you want to lose?
I would like to lose between 40 and 50 pounds. I am starting off at 179 so that would bring me to a nice, healthy weight.
-- What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight?
I would love to reach it by xmas, but next summer would be great too.
-- How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)?
I am planning on sticking to exercising on a daily bases either yoga, or walking, or the gym, as long as its something everyday. I want to start doing more active things on the weekend like riding bikes, hiking, walking around, running and playing around at the park. I want to have fun while I am exercising, I dont want it to feel like a chore. I am also going to count my calories and try to stick between 1100 and 1500, I want at least half of those calories to be coming from fruits, veggies, whole grains, and other really healthy foods. For me I cant just give up bad foods because they make me feel good. Even if its just two pieces of dark chocolate a day, it really helps me stay on track.
-- Who or what can support you in reaching your goal?
My husband is supporting me, he really would like me to get back down to a healthy weight. He tells me everyday how beautiful I am, and if I was a healthy weight I would look even more amazing than I already do. Not only that but I feel better about myself.
-- How realistic is your goal?
I think my goal is very realistic. Losing 50 pounds would bring me down to a 21 bmi which is very healthy, and the way I am doing it is healthy, and even if I make it there by xmas it ends up being under 2 pounds a week which is healthy, so its very realistic.
-- When will you start?
I am starting tomorrow. I have already started a lost some weight, but I was just on my period and I got off my diet for a couple of days, so its time for me to get back on.
Okay so I think thats all for now. I will be back either in the morning or tonight to write down what I plan to do tomorrow. I hope everyone has a good nice. *huggles*
