Hi everyone!
I'm a biologist that works outdoors most days, but still manages to be really overweight. I've been over 300 pounds with two brief exceptions since I was 15 and I'm 37 now.
I'm 6' 3" and I like to lift so it's not all flab, but way too much of it is. I have a good idea of what I need to do so I'm here primarily for accountability and I hope that I can have success that may serve to help others in the future as my way to give back for the help I hope to receive.
I'm a self-described hickster which is a mix of hipster and hick. I spent a good chunk of my life in Seattle and I miss it dearly. I'm in Texas now and I love the privacy and connection to nature that living in the country affords, but I suffer from the lack of good live music, culture, and foods that Seattle was for me.
Thanks for reading!

P.S. Quercus is the genus for oaks.
