Bill Starr's 5x5.. adding 2.5lbs?

i'm interested in trying this and have seen that you take a certain percent of your 5rm, ie 10% and do it across 5 sets. well, that brings a problem, as let's say this requires me to do 28.5 lbs of something. my gym, and i think most gyms, carry 45, 35, 25, 10, 5, 2.5 weight plates, making it impossible to get something like 28.5. can someone shed some light on this

add the least your gym's weights allow. if you can't then do the same weight for one more week and try again then.
 
DO EXACTLY how that program says and it is a great program. If you can't progress up the little micro weights then use the same weight for the next week and add a rep to the last set.
