Greetings all.

I never really kept a log before but I will make this part of my daily routine. I'm 5'8 265 Lbs. I started out at 278 on June first.

My goal is to be fit. Not a defined weight, but just to be proud of my body. Right now I work out 6 days a week and I look forward to every session.

Im going back to finish my degree in September and I can't wait. I only have 2 years left. I'm majoring in Geography and my minor is environmental sciences.

Today I had

a bowl of cereal,
leftover stirfry, this was mostly veggies and rice.
a plumb,
fish, 2 fillets. I baked them in foil with olive oil, garlic, lemon juice and rosemary.
zuccini grilled on my george forman grill :p,
cucumber from the garden.
cheese and crackers.

I have no idea if this is too much or too little but it was some good eats. ;)

I did 40 minutes on my eliptical after work today, then I watched a movie.

I look forward to tomorrow.

As long as it wasn't a whole block of cheese with a whole box of crackers, then I would say that was a good food intake at your weight.

Good luck on your journey!

Then I think you did fine. As your weight drops, you may find your calories need to drop unless you are doing a lot of weights and other exercise.

Well I got up at 4:30 this morning. (I work at 5:30 am monday to friday gah) Had some cereal and I'm having a great day. It's nice and relaxing today compared to normal. Lunch in 15 minutes, gonna have a healthy soup and crackers.

I'm really really looking forward to my workout tonight. It's going to be a crazy one I think. hehe. I'm starting to turn into a fitness junkie. Loving this. :)

Welcome To WLF

Hi there BG,

congrats with your weight loss so far! :) Depending on what your portion sizes are, you may be alloted more of less food. If you need help with counting calories there's always or even It seems these two are favourable around the site. I personally love the Spark People food journal. It makes all the calculations so easy. Heck... I eat more than ever before and the best part, I'm not starving! WOOHOO! haha It'll factor in your current weight, cardio minutes, etc to figure out your allotment of calories in a day. This is very important. Anywho... wishing you the best with your journey. Drop by and say hi sometime.

Thanks for the links, I'll check them out.

So today I ate this:

Vector cereal (400 Cal)
Minestrone soup (250 Cal)
Necterine (60 Cal)
Salami slices (3-4 thin slices) no idea really.
Garden Salad w/ low cal dressing (150 cal)
Farmer Sausages 2 no idea but Im thinking 300-400 cal each.
Gatorade (120 cal)
Whey protein powder mixed in water (130 Cal)

I did 25 minutes on my eliptical doing interval training (it was pretty crazy today, i went hard.)

1.5 hours of resistence training with a friend.

I feel like going for a bike ride later tonight so I probably will.

Yesterday was a crazy day. Right when I woke up I made a big breakfast, Two eggs sunny side up, Canadian back bacon (freshly made) 3 slices, two whole grain toasts. After that my buddy cme over for a workout and we did some resistence training.

After that I went on a bike ride (about 15 KM) and then I went and played a round of Disk Golf with some friends, took about 2 hours.

It was my father's birthday so I went to my folks place for dinner. I had 3 squares of thin crust pizza (I can't believe I didnt have way more) and 1 piece of Fried Chicken, a few fries, colslaw and a little bun.

I havent had greese all summer and it was nice to have, but every bite I took made me question myself.

I still ended up losing weight yesterday. Probably because I didn't eat till I was stuffed like I would have before the summer started.

Well today is back to normal food.

Wow... you're already down 17 lbs! 3 more lbs until you hit 20 lbs! WOOT! Congrats, BG. You're doing exceptionally well. Way to watch yourself at your parents. :)

Hellllllllllllloooooooooooo 250's goodbye 260's!!!

I just weighed in at 259.8 :) Im sure after my glass of water and bowl of cereal I'm over again, but I really can't wait to get out of the 260's. I've been in them for a month and a half. I see the light!!!

I had a great day yesterday. I did 40 minutes of cardio on my eliptical and 2 hours with a friend on resistence training.

I ate about 1800 Calories and drank about 200 more. I didn't gain any weight when I weighed in this morning.

Today so far I had a protein shake (200cal) a bowl of cereal 250Cal (i didnt even finish the milk, I was full) A low fat bluebarry bran muffin (not sure how many Cals) A chicken noodle soup 200cal. A 6 inch subway sub. (honey oat bread, mustard, cheese, ham, turkey, all the veggies. (no idea how many Cals)

When I get home from work I'll be doing my eliptical for 45minutes and for dinner tonight I will have a seafood medley on rice.

Maybe I didn't count my calories properly this week. I've been very active but I gained a pound on Tuesday, I lost it yesterday because I played two rounds of Disk Golf and I did 1.5 hours of resistence training. I'm back to 260. Today I'm taking a break from working out cause I've been going hard lately.

Anyway, I need to lose 10 lbs by the end of august so I will be maticulous with my calorie counting.

Don't worry about a pound! That could just be a normal bodily fluctuation. Its soo frustrating but its true. Don't let it get you down...just let it be fuel for you to work this month!

Your excercise looks like its going great! Keep it up.

Wow, it's been a while since I've been here. I should come more often, been rather busy. I just started University in September, I'm self teaching myself guitar and working out every day. My days are packed!! haha

I realised a while ago that life is what you make of it. I was in a dead end job for a few years, doing nothing and gaining weight like a mad man, now I'm really busy all the time but I'm improving my quality of life. Learning guitar is what I am most proud of right now, I started a few weeks ago and my progress is crazy.

Yesturday I ate,
Cereal
Protein shake
a plumb
a sandwhich, whole grain bread, bold mustard, lettuce and turkey.
Sole fish, a really big piece, and I breaded it myself, quite yummy :)
a very large Zuccinni (sp?) from the garden.
red bell peper
protein shake.

i guess about 1500 cals.

Well i gotta run off to university. Bye for now.
