Hello everybody my name is Kelly. Right now I am currently 245lbs. My husband died last year in a terrible car crash. I lost the love of my life and felt like I was never going to be able to move on. Well I did move on I accepted that I will see him again someday. But in the time it took for me to move on I gained more weight than I had ever had in my life. I personally have never been this big an I hate it. I am slowly starting to lose the weight and I hope that I've come to the right place for support. It's so hard to deal with life when you are big. I don't just mean big boned. I hope to find inspiration and hope within with the help from of others.

AOMG Kelly... So sorry for your loss. You are in the right place! Everyone here has their struggles, some worst then others but we have to keep our heads up and try to move forward! Are you exercising? It really does help relieve stress!

Sorry about your loss, women are known for being aemotional eaters (which totaly blows!) it IS harder when your big, when im feeling down about myself i feel judges (which im probly not but its just another excuse >.<) i had lost 50 lbs between may and september 2011 and my start weight was 294!!! which put me down to 244 and then after september i kinda fell off the band wagon and gained 15 so i hopping back on with ya! good luck and remember "the only diffrence between people who succeed and people who fail is the one who succeed dont quit while they are failing" :)

Oh yes. I'm exercising a lot. Not over doing it atleast I don't think but I take the stairs at work everyday, I walk to work every morning, (its nearby) after work I hit the gym with a little bit of everything abs, arms, back, thighs. If I'm not totally drained by then I jog a steady pace home and relax. My problem is the food! I eat my veggies can't say I like them one bit but I eat them. And I try to keep it down to 3 small but healthy and fufilling meals a day, it's the calories and carbs that are getting me is what I think. Not sure but Im not giving up hope yet. I just started exercising a month ago and have lost weight but it's one of those things where I just can't get there fast enough. Ya know????

I agree dlove. I hate being an emotional eater its just not fair! lol It's good to kno I'm not the only one out there as selfish as that may sound. I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy to feel the way I do. (Okay I might if I reealllly don't like'em) but thats besides the point. I like that. Gettin back on the bandwagon. That's what I need to do and I'm trying just not seeing the results fast enough. I'm just one of those people that like immediate results not something over time but I guess this isn't really my choice huh? I can't just make all the extra weight go away in one day! But I can TRY right? :)

I feel ya! but then again, loosing slower will help you keep it off and prevent loose skin. do you eat breakfast?? a fiber filler breakfast helps fight off hunger during the day as well as carb cravings so does snacks inbetween meals ( generally betwenn 100 and no more then 200 calories iv read) they say 5 small meals a day, eating breakfast and not eating at night really helps. i dont like veggies all that much eather...i usally opp for fruits and low sodium V8 for veg.

AYea I also say try to eat every 3 hours...it keeps your metabolism higher. It's not all about calories but the quality of those calories. I.E. big different between a 100 calorie pack and a small handful of almonds.

Iv been thinking about the visalus! heard it actually work and is great, not boring etc. but is it sustainable? does the weight stay off once your off of it or are you using it just to jump start a weight loss routine?

Iv checked out the website, iv wactched the videos, just savin some cash lol, BUT my question was is it sustainable? if you eat healthy and exercise, calorie count ect after words? i dont plan on doing it forever but would like the weight to stay off once i stop useing it

I don't count my calories to a tee but I like to stay under or at a 1200 calories diet that helps me stay satisfied throughout the day. I try to drink a lot of water soda is a NO NO lol I love soda and I hated giving up my Mtn.Dew but it was for the better. I will learn to live without it. Hopefully! Yes I do eat a small breakfeast in the morning depending on what I feel like making and I do have a cup of coffee with it. Straight black though. I've been following a blog and shes been throwing out some great low calorie reciepes for breakfeast lunch and dinner so I don't have to think too hard about it if I follow it to a tee and only eat one serving. :) It's definately a big help and so far the forum seems to be a huge help also.
