Biggest Bodybuilding Mistakes

What do you think are the biggest bodybuilding mistakes that destroy muscle building results?

My top 5 are...

1. Following other bodybuilders canned programs
2. Training at too low of intensity
3. Overtraining - not enough rest between workouts
4. Following mythical nutrition principles
5. Not following a sound scientific approach to building muscle.

I explain in detail why in a little report I wrote. You can get a FREE (PDF) copy by visiting .

What are your biggest muscle building mistakes? Let's build a list and discuss it.

many of the huge guys at my gym.. dunno how they got huge.. maybe natrual:p but they dont do deads and squats.. could be just some of the people where i work out, i dunno if its an international mistake:p

Recovery

I think overtraining is the biggest nemesis! Too many bodybuilders have the
"more is better" mentality.

Let's not forget about genetic. Some people just walk into the gym and grow like weeds. However, what could they accomplish if they trained properly.

Stimulate growth- rest and recovery, and stimulate growth again.

I also agree... nutrition plays a huge roll, but proper training plays an even bigger roll.

There's many factors - i workout at home so i'm not privvy to the gym atomsphere a whole lot, although i have went to a number of gyms.

Besides folks not training properly and eating right i would say intensity levels are also a big issue for alot of people. People don't realize how hard they have to work and end up on machines or sissy ass isolation excercises for the bulk of there routines because they don't have the drive.

Using the term bodybuilding as anyone looking to improve their physical appearance I would say:

1. Diet
2. Lifting Form (cheating to lift as much weight as possible)
3. Asking for advice and then giving excuses why your sucka$$ method is better
4. Wrong perception of which muscles should be worked (abs, arms)
5. Too much time looking in the mirror!
