bf %

hey peeps i just found out my body fat percentage today. teh guy measured my height, asked my age and i was told to stand on this thing that apparently told me my body fat percentage as well as other things. I have 18.6% bf and im going to try and get it down to 10-12% by end of June. I do HIIT on the treadmill and i was wondering what you guys thought of it? is it good enough for me to do every other day in order to lose the body fat that i want? (o and ofcourse diet plays a huge part in it as well but lets assume im gettin my proteins in and am eating a generally healthy diet). ok heres what i do on teh treadmill:
2 mins 8 kph
2 mins 14 kph
1 min 8 kph
2 mins 14 kph
1 min 8 kph
2 mins 14 kph
1 min 8 kph
2 mins 14 kph
1 min 8 kph
2 mins 14 kph

14 kph is my fast running speed and 2 kph is just above my walking speed. is this good enough to lose teh body fat i want? i do alot of weights as well.
If you have other variations of HIIT on the treadmill id love to c them so post them if you want and mayb i can try them out myself and see if its better :D

first off, 'standing on a bodyfat thing' sounds like a Tanita scale, or some bio-impedance knock-off. Regardless, its NOT an accurate way to test bodyfat. If you were slightly dehyrdated, you'd turn out fatter. Over hydrated, you'd be carrying less fat.

HIIT is great, but you still need to be lifting weights 3 days a week, on the days you aren't running.
