Best Diet Supplement? I'm 5'8 320-330 LBS. Going to start working out. Looking for routines to shed these pounds. and also gain athletic body when done.(still havent found it) and what foods to it(also haven't found it yet)
and also.. which is the best stretch mark remover I have alot. I hate them. I heard coco butter gets rid of them. But if you look closely even tho the color is gone. they are still there. anyway to get RID of them completely and make my skin looks like they never had them at all?
Read the exercise and nutrition section - paying particular attention to the sticky threads. Making sure that your diet is really healthy and getting enough of all the nutrients (and not merely adding up to a calorie total that puts you in deficit) is the best way to lose weight healthily.
No diet specific supplements are required - or likely to really benefit anyone.
Naturally - many people take supplements in order to ensure that they get enough of the good things to keep them in tip-top shape - but these are no different to what the person who is not seeking to lose weight will take. Things like a multivitamin and Omega-3 fish oils...
If you enter your food in (which costs nothing for a free account) you will be able to check whether you are hitting all your nutritional targets.
People use coco-butter and products such as bio-oil to try to address stretch marks - but really - most people end up accepting that they might not disappear completely although they may fade. Losing and gaining weight slowly with regular creaming and a healthy diet tends to be the best way of minimising them in the first place - but once we have them we tend to be stuck with them. The skin has after all been over stretched like the elastic band that we all remember at school that had once gone through its elastic limit. We cannot turn back the clock...
In all honesty - I have a lot of stretch marks - but their appearance is overshadowed by the fact that I have a lot of loose skin. I hold out no hope of either disappearing naturally - since my weight has been of a "healthy" BMI for well over a year.
We need to focus that we can have a healthy body which is in good shape despite a few stretch marks.
Supplements: There is no magic pill supplement for weight loss. You'll find most of us here recommend a healthy, balanced diet and exercise. Other than a standard multi-vitamin or maybe calcium, fish oil, and the like, I personally don't see the need for any kind of supplement.
Stretch marks: There is no way to 100% completely get rid of them as though they never existed. A stretch mark is a scar and once it's there, it's there. It is possible to fade them, though, and make them less noticeable. Studies have shown that coca-butter is not really effective. However vitamin E has been shown to speed healing and make scars of all kinds less noticeable. I'd recommend a cream or lotion with vitamin E - or you can even break open a vitamin E capsule and spread that on the stretch marks.
Also, good nutrition makes a difference. Your skin needs to be properly nourished to heal - making sure you eat well and drink enough water is important. They will never completely go away, but they will fade over time until they're barely noticeable.
