belts

never have used a belt for either exercise listed. belts are fine for one rep max's, but for daily lifting, a belt does more harm than good, by allowing core muscles to stay weak, instead of forcing them to meet the limits of your workload.

You're bending your spine...you need to learn how to maintain proper form at the lumbar segments.
