It's true you can't spot reduce, but that doesnt mean these areas wont shrink at all. Check out the stickey threads on nutrition and fitness, they will help you formulate a plan and educated you about certain things to know. I would also suggest getting an online nutrition account with Fitday or something like it so that you can track your daily food intake with ease.
I know it all seems overwhelming, but pace yourself. Consistency is key and we (the members of this forum) are here to help when rough times come and to celebrate your victories.
