Belly and Muscle

I am trying to loose my Belly and gain Muscle. I am not too worried about my actual weight but more focused on Body Fat %. Can I still gain Muscle Mass while loosing the body fat%? I have started taking all the right supps proper diet and working out. Will I have to focus on one or the other? Thanks in Advance :)

Hi Mate,

If you are new to weight training then you should be able to lose body fat as well as gain muscle. You will eventually however hit a plateau and will have to focus on either bulking or cutting.

If you are just worried about a little fat around your stomach then I would just get straight into trying to build muscle. If you do it cleanly then you should only gain very little fat and the extra muscle will help you cut when you feel it is necessary.
 
and by 'eventually hit a plateau'....plan for that to happen within 2 months of getting started. at that point, you'll have to prioritize.

however, in 2 months you could easily drop 10lbs of pure fat while gaining some lean muscle...that might be enough to hit your goals. everyone's unique.
