Hi im new to these forums
Im 19 years old, and in college but anyways..
Me and my brother (twin) both decided to start lifting this summer after finals next week. I have lifted back when i was a freshman and sophmore but lost alot of that progress. I used to be overweight but lost most all of it over the past few years by running and swimming.
anyways i need to build some muscle. I do some body weight stuff but im gonna start going to the weight room.
The thing im worried about is the diet, i know i have to eat more and that gaining muscle is about 80% diet. How much should i eat and when? i have one friend who said to eat 6 times a day rather then three..
The main thing i wanted to know is, should i concentrate purely on lifting and do little to no cardio. and then after i gain mucle do a period of little lifting and alot of cardio to cut the fat. Or should i keep up with cardio maybe 3 times a week swimming and a short run in the mornings every day?
Would appreciate any advice, i dont wanna gain a ton of fat weight while lifitng . i know ill be gaining muscle weight also...but yeah
