So my name is Laura, I have a diary here on the forum, please stop by! leave any comments/advice/suggestions/questions!

I am a new member to this forum, one day, I just decided to google weight loss forum, and this place was the first link.....I am so happy I'm here! The transformations are amazing...I am inspired by everyone's weight loss--congratulations everyone!! =]

I'm a victim of yo-yo dieting, and this time, I am truly truly honestly trying to stop the cycle and lose the weight for once!

I topped my highest at 198.8 pounds, and the most recent lowest was 165.5 pounds in May 2007....So wow it's been almost a year, and I've wasted almost 360 days battling this weight.

My goal weight is 115-125 pounds.

But to prove to myself that I am done weight-cycling, I want to get to under 160 pounds. That is my short-term goal by June 15. I know I can do it!! I MUST DO IT!!

So hi everyone, please stop by my diary and this thread. I would really appreciate the support =)

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR STOPPING BY---AND LEAVING A COMMENT!

I plan to:

1. Incorporate veggies and fruits into my diet

2. Discard junk foods (chips, cookies, baked goods, sodas, sugary drinks)

3. Incorporate yummy salads into my diet (4-5x week for lunch on campus)

4. Cardio. I've been on this lifechange for roughly 10 days and am having a hard time increasing my cardio time. Currently, I am at a meer 30 minutes of cumulative cardio, but I would like to be able to do 45 minutes of interval training elliptical--like I used to. 5-6x/week. Since this quarter began, I have started to take the bus rather than driving to campus. So I get an extra .5 miles of walking M-F.

5. Discard heavy carbs out of my diet. Go for green rather than bread.
salad > sandwich

6. Emphasize on chicken breast, beans, and tuna for protein sources.

7. Portion control and Low-Calorie. ~1500 calories/day. Not always the case, usually less, but I rather keep my body guessing.

8. Weight Lifting. 1-2x week. I used to be a bodybuilder wannabe, so I do know a few exercises and proper form, I work the bigger muscles. Back, Chest, Legs, and Abs.

Other comments:
This first month, or the ~18 days left of this first month, I would like to lose about 8-9 pounds.
April 1st Start Weight: 180 pounds
May 1st Goal Weight: 165 pounds
June 15th (10 weeks) Short-Term Goal Weight: 155 pounds
Ultimate Goal: 115-125 pounds, I'd like to have roughly 16-18% body fat
 
can anyone give me directions on how to make my pictures as thumbnails so i can do less scrolling??

or is there a tutorial i can read???

Good luck girl! You can do it. Once you make it a habit you don't really think about it and it becomes a lot easier.
 
seems like you have a pretty solid plan... hopefully it works... i'm going to try and incorporate some flexiblity into mine... like 1st thing in the morning do some stretching not only to wake me up but also to become more flexible... good luck!!!

Yeah, i've noticed how "strict" i am with my plan, I usually am, I'm kind of an all-or-nothing kind of person...I know that I have a higher failure rate...but I hope I can see some results as I go along, so I don't get discouraged TOO fast.

omg.

my people's liberation jeans fit. (with a smallll muffin top, but i usually wear my clothes "tight" at the waist because of my thighs)

like all they need is a hem

Congrats on gettin in the jeans :) i have apair of Miss Sixtys that i want to fit perfect.. So im new here and just looking around. I live in the miami area and possibly looking for a workout/trainer partner... So If anyone hasany suggestions...? i dont know how to post yet lol... Good luck Sweetie!
