Before Pics... feedback welcome

Here we go... Id really like to make some changes in my overall physique. I think 'd feel alot more confident and healthy if I lost some body fat. However, I'd still like to maintain and even build some muscle mass. A few months ago I did a body fat anaysis at a local gym. Ive probably put on some fat since then. Ive lost some weight overall since the summer but my weight tends to fluctuate and right now wavers between 150 and 140. I joined this forum thingy because I thought people could offer advice or encouragement and that I would gain some inspiration from others. Don't be afraid to say what you think... I need honesty and this forum provides an ok place for that.

is it true that you can't loose body fat faster than 2 lbs a week?

Well it looks like you've lost 15 pounds so far, so that's good! How tall are you?

Good luck with your transformation!

You can however it's much better to loose it at a slow pace. Usually a dramatic weight loss cycle will result in more weight being put on in the future.

Lol

Hey do you drink "beer" or anything else like that? Because that could have an effect on your weight lost. You are built like my sister ,lol. Almost thought you were...ha ha ! Anyways if you drink ,lay off the booze. It will make a big difference . Don't give up on loosing it, it will go away with time and effort!;)

I think you need to work on squats. It changes your stomach, posture, ass, thighs, etc.

You shuold post your diet, if you fix that you'd lose very fast b.c. you have enough muscle(upper body). A bit more of a tan wouldn't hurt, then you'd be very HaWt.

losing 2 a week is considered "safe".

of course thats not considering the first initial water weight loss which can comprise 6-10 lbs that are lost rapidly.

If you lose any faster than that without taking precautions to protect muscle, you can lose muscle as well as fat.

i am really reluctant to cut carbs because 1- i like them, and 2- i am resistant to cutting out entire foodgroups from my diet, and 3- i worry that i'll go crazy when i reach my goal and am "allowed" to have carbs again. is a low carb lifestyle really that realistic or healthy?

Clean diet is very key, esp for your goals you have set. You are looking to have the body size that is similar to mine- bf%14; weight 125bs, waist 25".. I will tell you this I eat clean always, I workout 5 days a week doing free weights and I run around after my kids, and work full time at a min of 13 hrs per day in a physically demanding job. So if you are not willing to clean up your diet and work out religiously set new goals. Right now go for a fat burning cycle - diet cardio and some weights; then hit a muscle building cycle to firm up and lose more fat for the long term- weights and lighter cardio. Everything works together but diet if it is off can throw the whole thing out of kilter. So go kick it hard and get your diet in check pronto. good luck :D

Maybe it's just me, but where did you get your body fat taken? With all of that upper-body muscle and whatnot, you don't look like 26%. I'd guess 22 maybe.

With as much muscle as you have, I wouldn't lose too quickly, or it will be incredibly difficult to maintain your strength and keep that muscle.

How old are you, by the way? I wouldn't suggest lifting 5X a week (to anybody, first of all), and especially not to someone under 18 or 19.
