Thanks for looking. I'm ready to work on the rest now and hoping to get close to those goals by year end! Best of luck to every one of you! Definitely know how hard you are working! :grouphug:

what were your before and current measurements? (i've given up with scale numbers because some people look like they weigh more than they do - some look like they weigh far less - Measurements are the interesting part for me :D

You've got such a great smile... :) adn you know you're looking good in those pictures :) well done..

But luck -not required - consistency is what gets people there :D

Thanks for checking them out! It's good to know others see a difference since I think we all can be so self-critical, even when we've had success. Definitely me!

I did not take measurements, but I am going to start for this final round of weight loss. What I do know is that I went from a tight size 20(and that was after I 'haphazardly' started this and was just walking for a few weeks) to a comfortable size 14(the jeans in the pic are tight and a size 12). My goal is an 8. I also went from XXL in shirts to a large that is getting loose.

I've also focused on fitness improvements which was the part I was really looking forward to since I really loved working out when I was younger. I went from maybe 5 minutes on the eliptical at the lowest resistance to 40 minutes at a level 5-8 and I'm about to kick that up another notch. Also started running in the spring, something I never worked on in my life! LOL. It amazes me reading the stories here and what I have accomplished at just what our bodies are capable of achieving.

consistency is indeed the key. I've slowed down a bit on losing in my middle area and I think a large part of that is having my children home for the summer and not taking as much time for working out, but I had made progress in my legs and started losing bust too. We got the kids a new trampoline and I started jumping on it just to have some time alone to think and I believe doing that has put the focus on my legs over the summer.

Anyway, aside from my brother in laws passing in January, I had also realized I was working my way through college and I wanted my outside to feel as good as my intellectual part did. I wanted to go into job interviews someday and be confident of more then just my skills.

I'm rambling, but I really love this site and without signing up it has been an inspiration in the last couple of months since I found it. The accomplishments, determination, and willingness to reach out for help are a huge testament to the human spirit. Just can't put it any other way.

I really like your hot pink dress. Really really. REALLY. :D

Can't wait to see you in it, slim, fit and beaming. Ohhhhohohhhhhhh. :drool5:

... I think I hurt myself.:svengo:

I'm impressed.. the more success stories I see for everyone, the more motivated it makes me... having so many other people going through this at the same time and sharing their stories really makes you feel like you're not all alone. I have to tell you though- TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS- TRUST ME! I've only been doing this for 7 weeks and holy crap how much more excited I am by seeing how many inches I've lost rather than pounds. Focusing on pounds is too annyonig because no one ever weighs what they look they do and we can't all fit that mold of a 5 foot whatever inch woman weighing so many pounds like those stupid guidelines we're always hearing about.. none of us are built the same. But each week when I go to take those measurements and I see the numbers going down, it puts me in such a great mood and my boyfriend laughs at me as I run to call my mom or one of my friends to tell them my progress. I started taking my measurements at week two and so far I've already lost over 20 inches combined from arms, hips, thigh, calves, etc- to me that's more impressive than my 23 pound weight loss so far..... by the way, I agree with everyone else who already posted that your transformation is awesome- you are a beautiful gilr and the fact that you have children shocks me because you could still pass for 16!! Congratulations :)

Awesome! You should be so proud of yourself. In the last pic the pose looks like your feeling alot more confident. Keep up the good work!

I know you are right about tracking. I think I decided *initially* not to because I was too focused on that when I did it back in my 20's and I wanted to really take my time with this when I did it this go around. I should start doing it now to gage the progress I'm making since I know it will probably go even slower now. Congrats to you on your progress too btw:hurray::hurray::hurray: awesome!

As for looking 16...oh my...I haven't been that since Ronald Reagan was president :smilielol5: It's very sweet of you to say. I'll talk about my children the better I get to know folks here. I have a 10(about to start middle school:ack2:), 8, and 4 year old. My 8 year old is autistic and my 4 year old is ,well, 4..lol. I'm also a student currently with a 4.0. Graduate with one degree next semester. Anyway, another time for all that. It's been a great year.

I am and thank you. Just having the ability to do things and not get winded makes you feel so good. I had missed what it was like to be a more normal weight. Although I have more to go, I know I'm at the point of looking more like a lot of other women in this country so I don't feel as self-conscious if that makes sense.

All the best to you!
