When I was 11 or 12 I was 5', 180 pounds. Needless to say I was the subject of getting bullied in school most of the time. I dropped out of school in lieu of home schooling and in the process I had more time to myself and more time to focus on my health (I thought it'd be fun to have boyfriends, but I was also terrified; I was only 12 and my heart would hurt and I'd wake up unable to breathe). Originally, I started by 'going raw', which is eating 100% uncooked fruits and vegetables and nothing inbetween. Oh, yeah, I also wore glasses because I was cross-eyed.
Nevertheless, within about two or three months I was no longer wearing glasses (nor corrective lenses), got down to 140, and was just estatic! Now I think, for that height, 140 would be a bit much for my body frame but then I was flaunting my stomach and wearing skin tight pants, lol!
I continued down my path of dieting and when frustration started to set in around 120-130 I began to eat mostly rice and vegetables. My big 'cheat' was eating sour cream on it sometimes. I got down to 105.
At some point when I was 13 or 14 I started putting weight on (I went up to 123) from Chinese food (I never had it before that point!!!!!!!) and other odd circumstances. I started to count calories, and three or four months later I was back to 105. I only ate 1,200 calories a day!
I stayed there for a LONG time. Even into my mid-teens (15) and then I got addicted to a video game and let it slip away because I'd play hours of an online video game and eat chips! I didn't go far, I got up to 116...then a year later 120...then recently, 130. It took me about 6 months of sitting at 125-130 to finally get motivated enough to stay on a diet and stick on it. I started to count my calories! It had worked for me once before.
I use an excel spreadsheet that's already all programmed for you and really in depth (Idk if I can say the name here) to help me track my weight:
7/20/2011: 131
7/21/2011: 128.8 (whoa!)
7/22/2011: 128.4
7/23/2011: 127.40
7/24/2011: 128 (
)
7/26/2011: 128
8/01/2011: 125.40
8/02/2011: 125.4
8/03/2011: 125
8/04/2011: 124.8
...After this point I started just sticking at 124, even going up to 126 on certain days of only eating 1,100-1,200 calories. I was so frustrated I decided to eat a lot because hey! I was gaining weight eating like a bird. I went on and off for a few days and it worked. So:
Monday: Eat!
Tuesday: Diet
Wednesday: Eat!
Thursday: Diet
Friday: Diet
Saturday: Lost weight!
Now I am 123 on August 20th. (And I'm 5'4)
My goal weight is 115. I will post a picture then!
