Before and After...so far

Since I've reached adulthood, I usually maintained a steady 170lbs. I've fluctuated from 175lbs to 160 in the past 5 or six years. I know a whole lot about fitness and dieting, but never could get my mentality in the right place to really keep up with it. I got frustrated with life and not achieving what I set out to achieve and went up to 185 lbs around a year ago, which was the most I've ever weighed in my life. I maintained it for almost a year , but I finally was able to get back into the habit of living healthier and now I've dropped down to 158 lbs.

I am aiming to get my body in complete shape and reach my 1st goal of 148lbs in the next month or so. I haven't weighed 150 lbs since I was a senior in HighSchool and weighed between 130-145 most of my teenage years. My ideal goal is to reach 125 eventually, but I keep stuggling to go past 160 lbs...I have a lot of muscle, so I pull it off well, but I am trying to lose fat and maintain good health. I need to get past 155 pounds!

As of right now I'm...
-weightraining about 3 times weekly
- running for 20-30 minutes 3 times a week.

I notice that my biggest weakness is my eating habits, so to I've been eating balanced meals with quality protein, carbohydrates, and good fats...plus taking vitamins. Plus, I notice that everything I eat shows almost right away and I feel it too!

I started out as 184lbs in Sept. 2006 and just ran everyday for 20 minutes and did pilates for 15-20 minutes until I reached 165lbs. I started weight training about 2 months ago, which helped me to get to 158lbs.

So...I'm trying to reach 148 lbs in the next month or so.

I would like to reach 125 ideally by my 25th birthday on April 21st.

Here is my progress thus far...
(I would put more pics but I'm limited...how can I add a link attachment?)

Wow what a big difference! Sounds like you have a great
kick butt work out routine. You looked good for 184 I wish
I could carry weight that way,lol I have had 4 kids and went
from 255 to 188 so that may play a part in how I look.
I may have to eventually switch to running/jogging looks like
everyone is getting awesome results that way.
Have a great day and can't wait to see your goal pics,Tammy:)

Haha...thanks a lot for the comment! It's awesome that you've lost sooo much weight! Keep up the great work. I think the only reason why I might carry my weight well is because I weight train a lot and run. I do a very short but high intensity running workout that works great and anyone can do. I would recommend that over just jogging the same speed for a period of time. Anyways, hit me up if you have any questions and continue the great work with your weight loss!

Thanks to all!

Thanks everyone for your comments and support! Good luck to all of you and hit me up for any questions you might have.

Congrats!!!!!You look great!!!!!!!!!!
I am new to the site and I need to loose about 30 lbs......WHat didi you do exactly to jump start your weight lose? Please Help........

Hey guys...thanks for all of your support and comments. For those who are just starting, it might seem like your goal is so far away, but take it day by day and you will be closer and closer to your goal weight before you even know it. I still can't believe that I've almost reached my goal and have officially already lost 30lbs! This is a huge deal to me because I usually never finish anything that I start. I just made small sacrifices of taking 20-45 a day to exercise and eat properly to start losing weight and just made it apart of my everyday lifestyle. I didn't think about long term and how "far" I was away from my goal...I just focused on the progress I made so far and took lots of pics!

I've lost an extra 4 pounds, so I'm almost at my first goal of 148lbs...yay! You can view my new pics on here...http://www.flickr.com/photos/narcollins2/[/url] Thanks again for the support and good luck to the rest of you!
