Well, its been a year-ish.. Ive had a goal to lose weight (and build muscle) since Summer 2009 as I was starting to become clothes size XXL from XL (eek!). I think ive achieved something eg in pictures, and ive even dropped to a size L!? But its progress, however there is still room for improvement!! I havent been 100% focused on my target because of exams, and therefore my tendency to eat (Subways, cashew nuts, biscuits...BAD FOOD!).. However this summer, and Uni this year, I plan to stay completely focused on weight loss/cardio etc

So yeah, this is my progress so far! Tell me if you see any difference! :D

Look, I'll explain this to you because it's taken me this long to figure out and I'd love to help someone help. You're always going to be fat at heart, it's better you learn to eat what you have been and losing the weight steadily then eat in a way you can't possibly stay consistent with long-term.

You're having AMAZING results with your current eating/exercise schedule. If you think you can eat healthy and not cheat, go for it... but I'm just saying you're doing amazing and you aren't depriving yourself of food you love, so why change?

Your results are stunning and very, very noticeable. Good luck with the last amount of weight!

Also, your food doesn't even look that bad... if you eat subway, just put mustard instead of mayo/dressing and you're golden. Mayo is the only thing that really kills you at subway. :p They put so much of it on!!!

Tbh, I only love the food I make myself when im home alone (eg a cucumber sandwich), but since I live with parents, its usually fatty and/or oily food thats made for lunch and dinner for the family (my immediate family is pretty much obese).. However once im living independently in University, I shall take health, diet, and fitness much more seriously.

I understand the whole starving stupidness and the like "starvation mode", so im trying my best to cut out every piece of fast/processed food for now, and sticking to good healthy stuff like my greens! But the main reason for change is to just not die early, and to look good! Sadly when I was in high school years ago I had no confidence of girls either because I got mocked for my then obese size :(

But thank you! I stopped eating Subway/snacking since exams are over, so its just healthy stuff now! My excercise routine is various weights, and walking although I shall renew my gym membership soon and begin my cardio exercises again... My target weight is 65kg and my ideal waist is 32 inches!

Thanks again!

Yes I can see the difference for sure!

You should think about keeping track of all of your measurements. I keep track of both my weight & inches. When I found out that I've lost over two feet total it puts things into perspective. A little more so that just a waist measurement.

Also subway rocks. I love it. I just get chicken breast veggies mustard and no cheese.

Way to go!

I definitely see a difference and congratulations.

Weight loss is all about mathematics. Once you watch the numbers (calories eaten mostly), the rest takes care of itself.

Nice work my friend.

Yep huge difference, you should be very proud. If you did that in a year think of what you will look like in another year. You can do it! Keep your eye on the prize and work your butt off - it will all be worth it in the end.

Hey guys, heres an update on my current progress still (02/01/11). Ive STILL got a long way to go, since my aim is to drop down to 10% body fat. Currently I am 65kg however that measurement was a week ago, i've eaten quite badly over the Christmas holidays compared to university. But so far, i'd still consider myself quite chubby, although everyone in my family has started to call me skinny and miss the obese me (what the...?)

Im going back to University in around 13 days, and when I get back, im going to be on my regular gym routine (5 days a week - 4 weight training sessions with a little HIIT in the end of each and 1 off day which involves HIIT). My goal is 1 year, hoping to be shredded!

Wow ... well done mate, that is some weight loss compared to your previous pics!

I notice that you said you are hitting weights and doing HIIT. This is great for building muscle and helping to reduce body fat - but remember that you need to be eating enough & the right foods for this to work!

TBH, I dont think you need to lose any more weight. Hitting the weights hard and eating plenty of protein should help to gradually reduce more body fat.

Good luck!!!
