I have been reading the forum off and on for a while, I am about 5 foot tall and weigh about 105, I have weighed as much as 140 and lost it over the past year. Most people roll their eyes at what you have to say when you no longer need to lose weight. Many people assume that you have the metabolism of Mini Mouse and are insulted at the mere suggestion that I may have had a weight problem or have to work at staying the size that I am. Anyway, I enjoy reading the forum, it keeps me balanced, and I know that being slim and healthy is a life-long process.

Hi there- welcome to the forum. I know what you mean. I'm 5'2" and looking to lose about 27 more pounds. People don't seem to understand the concept of maintaining that weightloss takes work. I know that when I reach my goal I will have to be mindful of what I eat as well as keep a good excercise routine. Congrats to you on your "loss" and good luck in keeping it where you want it. :)

Damn you skinny people with your all mighty metabolism :p

Welcome to the forums, hehe !!!

I imagine when you get to your desired weight it is difficult to not jump in on every diet related conversation... I imagine for years after I lose my weight I will still think of my self as fat simply do to the relation that I was fat.

hello and welcome! i understand how you feel.. eversince i've ben trying to lose weight my mom is like discouraging me to do so.. saying that i look okay, and that skinny people look scary.. i hate it when she does that.. its as if she wants me to be fat and stuff.. anw, all the best to u.. may u maintain ur current weight and stay healthy and happy! cheers =)
