Been big all my life, try to lose some weight.

I'm 23 and have been big ever since I can remember, I'm 6 foot 1 inches tall, about 300 pounds with a large frame, (Not sure frame size has anything to do with it though.), I'm trying to drop at least 50 to 60 pounds, I'm not sure what other info I should put on here but I think this is a start.

First thing and most important thing to do is stop drinking soft drink (if you drink soft drink) and no junk food at all. First thing is eating properly then exercise.

Losing 50 to 60 lbs is a lofty order. Weight loss at this rate is--at best--difficult to sustain, and--at worst--downright unhealthy.

Do you think that you can sustain and continue? See, if there is a wish then there is a way. Be committed. This is something very lofty wish but not impossible one. Try to follow some of my advice:

• Please reduce your daily calorie intake by 1,000 calories. I know this is very hard for you. But you have to. Use one of many free online calorie counters to plan your daily meals ahead of time. With a calorie reduction this drastic, you will not succeed if you just make it up as you go through your day.

• Make the most out of the calories you do eat. I recommend eliminating refined grains, high-calorie drinks, sweets and fast food. These foods carry little nutrition in comparison to their caloric footprint. Replace them with vegetables and lean proteins.

• Drink a glass of water before each meal to help you control your portions. Likewise, drink a glass of water as your first response to hunger or food cravings throughout the day. I suggest iced tea as an alternative. Both water and iced tea are zero-calorie liquids you can use to fill your belly.

• Take a multivitamin daily. Fact is a multivitamin to fill in any holes left in your reduced diet.

• Do 1,000 calories worth of cardiovascular exercise per day. Like with your diet, you can plan your workouts using one of many free online calorie calculators. Your specific calorie burn will vary, according to the exercise, your level of effort and your body weight. In general, this represents 60 to 90 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise.

• Track your meals and workouts in a journal. This alone can help keep you motivated to stick with your plan.

• Weigh yourself once per week. If you stick faithfully to this plan, you should lose between 3 and 4 lbs. per week. If your weight loss is outside that window, adjust your diet and workouts accordingly.

Keep in mind that this is an aggressive weight loss plan, requiring deep cuts in your diet and a lot of time at the gym. If you find it too difficult to maintain, consider cutting the calorie and workout reductions in half. This will still lose you 10 lbs. a month.

More importantly consult with your doctor or other fitness professional before taking any weight loss regimen, especially such an extreme one.
