Sport Bedtime carbs

Is eating cereal with skim milk an alright thing to do after a medium intensity 3 miles jog but before bed? I understand that simple carbohydrates before bedtime is a practice usually rewarded with a slap on the wrist but having them after a workout is usually suggested.
 
Right, that's kind of what I'm having problems with. When you say workout, are you strictly referring to weight training, or is cardio included as a workout that requires carbs afterwards? I do cardio as one of the last things before sleeping. As it stands it’s a bit confusing; don’t eat carbs late in the day but do eat them after a workout. I happen to end my day with a cardio workout.
 
theres a debate about whether you should eat until 30 minutes-1hour after cardio due to the fat burning process still working. some say eating will stop the fat burning process some think it wont affect anything and you will lose muscle.

i have no idea which is right.
 
after a weight workout, you'd want carbs. after cardio, its not a big deal, as the two types of workout are different, and cause different reactions in the body.
